STUDIO CO-ORDINATOR

Experience

Studio/Team coordinator or internal Project Manager with comprehensive construction knowledge and excellent administrative/coordination skills

3-5 years experience working in Interior/Architectural high end, large scale projects

Experience in hotels, spas, residential and retail – all at luxury interiors level

Role

The successful candidate will report to the Studio Project Manager, but will take overall responsibility for the following:

Ensure all projects run to budget, schedule and brief

Assist in scheduling the studio resource including interior architects/designers, FF&E designers, graphics department, CAD technicians and up to 3 teams of 15 each

Book internal ‘pooled’ resources, ensuring sufficient resource across project load, recruiting additional resource, maintaining freelance resource in conjunction with HR department

Manage external suppliers and consultants e.g. visualisers

Monitor hours spent on projects and ensure time spent is to the budget per project. Work with the Financial Controller to analyse time spent and put templates in place for project estimating

Creative quality and monitor by initiated quality control system

Being fully briefed at all times on the project stages across all work: brief writing, kick-off meetings/brainstorms, presentations, concept design, schematic design, detailed design, implementation, and on-site delivery

Log client meetings and conference calls ensuring all information is passed on and action instigated to schedule and client’s satisfaction

Devise and implement any systems, structure and policies required to ensure all design teams are operating at their most effective level and delivering the highest product

Work closely with the Senior Team to ensure that the design teams are inspired and that they are managed in the most efficient, responsible and motivating manner

Create benchmark tools and ensure their implementation and consistent use across all projects

Assist our New Business team with logging enquiries and co-ordinating travel plans across all the design teams.

Admin support to the Creative Director, Design Director and Management Team including diary management, travel, setting up conference calls etc.

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGERDAVID COLLINS STUDIO

REPORTING TO COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

FULL TIME PERMANENT ROLE

The Communications Manager works closely within a well established Communications Team and is responsible for supporting the Communications Director and Brand Manager in the management, development and integration of all internal and external PR & Communications Strategies.

The candidate will have 3 to 5 year’s experience of working within a PR agency or working in a similar business in a Manager or Co-ordinator role and can demonstrate their ability to work independently, be proactive and organised.

The candidate will need to be extremely well organised, proficient in Excel, have experience of liaising with multiple stakeholders including the Clients own PR Agencies and have experience of dealing with the Press. Experience of working within Luxury, Interiors, Architectural or Design sectors is also preferable.

David Collins Studio Internal Communications – the Communications Manager will support the Communications team by being primarily responsible for the management of the communications information systems and records. All marketing and communications collateral need to be clearly filed, maintained and ordered.

External PR Agencies – the Communications Manager will liaise with the PR agencies on a regular basis and will attend meetings and conference call and will be responsible for producing minutes of such meetings. The Communications Manager will be responsible for the generation of Metrics reports and feeding back to the Communications Director and Management Team on a monthly basis.

PR Outreach – it is desirable that the candidate has experience of liaising with high profile journalists and publications and there will be scope for this within the role.

Social Media – the Communications Manager will be responsible for update David Collins Studio Social Media in order to communicate key events and project openings and key press.

Project PR – the Communications Manager will be involved in meetings with Client PR’s, supporting the Client strategy and assisting to manage this within the David Collins Studio global PR strategy.

Website – Communications Manager will support the Communications Director in the development of the website. They will also be responsible for updating the content management system of the website.

Systems – Website Content Management, Database CRM/Salesforce – training will be provided.

Responsible to: Creative Director

Overview
To ensure that the furniture, fittings and equipment (FF&E) requirements on all projects are sourced, ordered and delivered on time and on budget and to brief. Manage, mentor and develop junior and/or middleweight FF&E designers and work closely with interior designers to ensure project is delivered holistically.

Role and Responsibilities
FF&E are involved at all stages of the project:
Presentation
Lead initial concept meetings
Provide information and make suggestions on availability of suitable FF&E as required
Create boards/layout plans, attend meetings present FF&E concepts to clients
Work with designers to prepare full FF&E schedule
Detail Design
Work with designers to prepare, schedule and cost all FF&E specifications
Prepare spreadsheets outlining all costs and gain approval from MD and Account Manager
Liaise with MD and Accounts department to ensure all costs budgets are approved
Oversee purchase orders, specification sheets and control books for all requirements.
Negotiate, co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers to ensure that all specifications and deliveries are being met on time and on budget and to the best possible quality to meet DCS standards
Generate solutions and alternatives as problems arise and seek approval from designers and client

Implementation
Liaise and negotiate with suppliers throughout the procurement of FF&E
Ensure regular and open communication with internal and external teams and suppliers
Co-ordinate receipt, delivery and installation of all FF&E
Ensure all FF&E specifications are delivered to site as scheduled
Handover
Assist in final stages of project ensuring that all FF&E, accessories and styling requirements are met.
Oversee professional photography

Lead, manage and mentor 1 – 3 middleweight / junior FF&E designers taking full responsibility for their development and delivery

Responsible to Managing Director, Creative Director and Design Director

Overview
David Collins Studio is a well known interior architectural design practice and our profile has risen steadily in recent years by our association with well known and successful projects with leading international clients.

High level support and to lead on client facing issues that affect the smooth running and deliverables to all studio clients. Our portfolio ranges from high end residential, retail, commercial residential and commercial projects with a varied mix of external project teams, which may include Architects, Quantity Surveyors etc.

Role and Responsibilities
Project and Design Team Management:
Managing and scheduling a team of 35 to 40 designers, including managers, to ensure the timelines are adhered to, the quality of work is high and the team are clear on their objectives.
Ensure project deadlines and budgets are achievable and achieved
Chairing weekly seniors meetings
Internal & client action and follow up and tracking
Project filing
Cost approvals, stage Approvals
Issuing monthly project reports to clients
