Café de Paris Monte-Carlo

David Collins Studio envisaged the ultimate French brasserie when developing the concept for Café de Paris Monte-Carlo - respectful of the original Art Nouveau café interiors and Belle Epoque architecture, but entirely new in approach. A dramatic two-storey restaurant, centred around a dramatic bar and double height wine cellar display, with pale green and Bordeaux leather upholstered seating, shimmering mosaic floors, marbles and parquet de Versailles timber flooring. Bespoke globe lighting, handcrafted ceramic tiles, and historic glasswork come together to create interiors that are respectful of Café de Paris’ past, and offer nostalgic reference points for guests old and new. The Studio was heavily inspired by the restaurant’s history and location. The colour palette is directly informed by the retained Art Nouveau Zodiac glass screens and green ceramic tiles. Vegetal and scroll forms appear throughout, alongside typical French brasserie elements and ornate metal work. In this way, the new Café de Paris retains its spirit and charm.
