Alexander McQueen, Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan

Opened in June 2014, the Tokyo Womenswear and Menswear flagship store of Alexander McQueen (Kering) is an evolution of the design concept in a minimal direction. Executed in a pale palette, the store features a staircase realised from a single block of marble, large scale cherubic wings emerging from the plaster walls and a dreamlike mobile art installation created by Takeo Hanazawa and Takao Togashi.
The retail store measures 390 square metres.
A second Tokyo store designed by David Collins Studio can be found in Roppongi Hills.
